Insurance companies have favorite repair shops (better known as DRP's). If you've ever needed auto repair, chances are excellent that your insurance company "steered" you to the shop of their choice. While the shop of their choice may be perfectly competent for the job, it's not always the case. At Boro Collision, we will NEVER advise a customer to use our shop if they have a relationship with another shop; it's unethical and we don't do business that way. However, you should be aware that it is not only unethical, but illegal for your insurance company to "power steer" you towards their preferred repair shop. It is your right to have your vehicle repaired at the shop of your choice.
